Places to Visit in Dooars

Situated on the banks of river Murti, it is renowned for the King cobra & great Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Other animals include bisons, elephants, reptiles and leopards. Trees like Simul, Teak, Khair Siris, and Sal abound in the forests with numerous birds.
Jaldapara National park is located at the foothills of Himalaya in west Bengal. Riding elephants is the only one way to move in the forest. it ha s large collctions of animal and birds.
Jhalong is set on the bank of the watercourse Jaldhaka on the Indo-Bhutan border. It lies at the foothills of the range, on the thanks to Bindu in Kalimpong sub-division. Jaldhaka Hydro Electricity Project on Jaldhaka watercourse may be a major attraction during this space.
